Ronald StanleyGERRARDThe funeral has taken place of Mr Ron Gerrard, who was 94. He was the son of Stanley and Kathleen Gerrard and grandson of Stanley Gerrard, a former Sheriff and Mayor of Chester in 1931. Ron Gerrard attended the Kings School in 1940 leaving seven years later to work for the then Midland Bank in Chester. He continued working for the Bank in different locations until 1988 when he retired. He was a Freeman of the City of Chester and a member of the Bricklayers Guild. In 1993 he was President of the Freeman and Guilds. He is survived by his two children Ashley and Sarah and two grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
