KarlPFAUIt is with deep regret to tell you that Karl Pfau died in Spain on the 15th December. This beloved man leaves behind his daughter Joanne Elms, his long term partner Margaret Beck and his brother Anthony Pfau and many friends. He was loved so much and will be dearly missed and leaves a gaping hole in our lives. Karl was a kind and generous gentleman who was always ready to help anyone. He was always smiling and ready to entertain with his renditions of Albert and the lion or many a song. He loved spending time with his loved ones and friends and would do anything for them. Karl has lived a full life, embracing all opportunities, he has travelled the world, driven his favourite sports cars, sailed his boats and loved those in his life with his whole heart. During his time in Spain, where he shared much happiness with Margaret, Karl made many close friends, helped out at a local charity shop and the church, fund raising and volunteering and enjoyed spending times with his great friends at the marina in Torrevieja. Throughout his life, he always had a love of boats, he raced in the Lake District and Scotland and continued to enjoy sailing in Spain. Karl was well respected as a businessman in Rossendale, managing Rosebank footwear with his good friend Steven Owen and later Hardmanor footwear and TLK with Lynne. Karl is being cremated in Spain and there will be a ceremony to scatter his ashes and a celebration of his life at a later date, also in Spain.
