Dear Gemma I'm so sorry to hear about your lovely dad. I have some great memories of both your mum and dad .l used to see him at the swimming baths in Civic where I used to go regularly after my dear mum died after a long battle with Alzheimer's then I joined an art class again in Civic and he was there too. I also cut his hair for a few year what a lovely head of curly hair he had. Happy memories all started with meeting your mum at the Sacred Heart school where you and Suzanne met and became school friends. Us parents became friends too. I send my deepest sympathy to you and all your family Alzheimer's is the most devastated illness my heart goes out to you all. Both Alan and I will attend his funeral. Thinking of you all at this very sad time with love . Tricia and Alan Buxton

Mike was a wonderfully kind gent. One of the very best. He was very kind to me and helped my son with extra tuition for his maths GCSE. Even if he insisted on me joining them!!! I hadn’t banked on that !
When David had surgery as a 7 year old he and your dear mum visited us in Pendlebury hospital. He chatted for ages with David about his metal detector and had David enthralled with his talesof the treasures found.
They both supported me after my marriage failed for which I was very touched and very grateful.
Dad was lucky to have such a supportive family. They both were an amazing couple. May he rest in glorious peace together with Mum. 🥰🥰
