RuthEAVISPassed away peacefully on 16th March, aged 86 years. Ruth will be very sadly missed by all her loving family, friends and the community of Pilton. Funeral service to be held at Pilton Methodist Chapel on Tuesday 15th April at 12 noon. All enquiries to Alfred R W Connock & Son Funeral Directors, tel 01749 342589.

Ruth was a wonderful friend for Dante and I to know in Pilton. She sat for a memorable portrait by him and she was so pleased with the result. We are so sorry we could not attend her thanksgiving at the Chapel. Dante is only arriving in Europe from Peru tomorrow and I am travelling to collect him. We would have loved to have been there to share in our thanks for Ruth's life.

Ruth was a wonderful person for Dante and I to know in the village. She sat for one of his most memorable portraits and was really pleased at the result.
