William DesmondDOWNES(Des) Des of Ponthir, Torfaen, formerly of Tumble, Carmarthenshire, passed away peacefully on Friday Sept 2, surrounded by his family, following a short illness; beloved husband of Anne, devoted father and father-in-law of Bethan, Gareth, Cormac, Damien, Ben, Emma and Kate, loving grandfather of Connor, Emilia, Ellie, Patrick and Joseph. Requiem Mass at St Julius the Martyr RC Church, Beaufort Rd, Newport, NP19 7NJ at 12 noon, Wednesday Sept 14, followed by burial at Caerleon Cemetery, Cold Bath Rd, Caerleon, NP18 1NF.
