I don't know what prompted me to google Reggie's name. I cannot have seen Reggie since he was a young man or much older boy. Cheri and Ella were more my age. Cheri I saw once since. I recall the young Reggie had a bad bout of pneumonia. That was a huge worry to everybody. This must have been just after the first antibiotics came in, but there must have been fearful memories of an earlier time. Everybody was so happy when he pulled through, and so was I. Sally, Mark and Rachel, I am so sorry for your loss. But I am so glad his life was not cut short and he had the joy a family. Ella and Cherry, I loved you and your Mum and Dad. And your uncle who had the most unusual batting stance at cricket (very successful though). All these memories are from the early fifties, at the end of which I was just hitting double figures. So many of my memories then are wrapped up with the Furzeland family. Jonathan Acton-Bond
I would love to see Cheri and Ella again
