EirlysHATTONof Aberdare. Peacefully, on 28 December 2021. Eirlys, former headmistress of Comin Infants School, conductor of Ebeneser Choral Society, Deacon of Ebeneser Chapel. Beloved wife of the late Ray Hatton, devoted mother of Moira and the late Lynfa, loving mam-gu of Rhiannon. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Funeral service on Tuesday 18 January 2022 at 11.45 am followed by committal at Llwydcoed Crematorium at 12.45 pm. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to Cancer Research UK c/o Richards Funeral Services Ltd, 74 Harriet Street, Trecynon, Aberdare, CF44 8PL, Tel: 01685 878121 to whom all further enquiries can be made.

Dear Moira, my condolences on the loss of your mum. I have happy memories of visiting Auntie Eirlys, Uncle Ray and Auntie Gladys with my Mum, Ann Pritchard, and nana, Aerona (Rona) Griffiths when I lived in Wales. I’m not sure if you remember me as I was a little girl and you were quite grown up! Thinking of you in your time of loss. Sara Pritchard

Mrs Hatton was my infant school head teacher. She was such a kind and caring lady and always stopped to talk to me years after I left the school. Mrs Hatton will certainly be missed by many x
