A lovely kind lady indeed. As a neighbour, she was always so supportive if in trouble, delighted when times were good. As an optician, she listened properly to your issues and so sorted out both myself and my husband for the first time. As a volunteer, she weekly gave her time to help blind people she had never met. As a friend she was always so unassuming about her own abilities and knowledge but quick to praise others. As a walking companion, she was a delight, always interested in where she was and who she was with. She loved her family of whom she was justly proud, her job........and her dogs. Farewell my friend, I've missed you for a while. Wherever you are, may there be wonderful ridge walks, skylarks singing, the scent of warm oranges........and waggy tails from Rebel, Caesar, Hobbs et al . Big Hugs.

Very sad news.
Elaine was well known and highly respected in Crewe for her work as an opthalmic optician.
She was kind and caring and her professional approach to her patients was greatly appreciated
