On Wednesday 11 June 2025, Vanessa passed away peacefully at her home, aged 74.

Devoted wife of Neil, beloved mother of Kelly and Tom and proud grandmother of Owen, Megan, Sam, Leo and Ivy.

On Friday 11 July, a family cremation will be held, followed at 11.30 by a service of thanksgiving at Mullion Methodist Chapel. Formal or casual dress welcomed.

Family flowers only please but donations can be made in memory of Vanessa to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, via this page, through a retiring collection or sent to the funeral directors below.

Fond memories of an inspiring teacher at Crowan. Always a pleasure occasionally seeing Mrs Carpenter when visiting my grandparents in Mullion, especially her impressive sunflowers!

MND is close to our hearts after loosing our mum to the disease in 2019. Hoping the team in Cornwall are as incredible as they were 6 years ago with their support and care.

I have so many happy memories of time spent with you and the family in Crickhowell, Abertillery, Knebworth and Mullion. Vanessa was such a lovely lady, her son Tom was my boyfriend at college and she was always so kind and friendly when I was in their home, always smiling and welcoming.
