💙 Rest in Peace, Mick Clowes 💙
Today, we say goodbye to a true legend — Mick Clowes. Dad to one of my best mates growing up, David, and to Tasha, husband to Pam, and an all-around top man. Mick wasn’t just David’s dad — he was a massive part of my childhood too. I practically lived at their house, and some of my best memories are from the days spent messing about there, laughing until our sides hurt.
Mick was one of the funniest blokes you’d ever meet — always cracking a joke, always telling a story, and always managing to turn any frown upside down. He had that rare gift of making everyone feel welcome and looked after, and I’ll never forget the warmth and humour he brought to everyone around him.
He absolutely loved his football — a proud Macclesfield Town fan and, unfortunately, a dirty blue 💙😉 (we never let him forget it, especially as David and I were United through and through during our glory years!) The banter was relentless and priceless.
Heaven has gained another angel today… Though I’m not sure it’s quite ready for Mick just yet.
Rest easy, Mick. Thank you for the laughs, the love, and the memories. See you again one day on the other side 💔
