PhilEDWARDSPassed away peacefully at home on Wednesday 13th November 2024, aged 84 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joan and children Sam, Tom and Helen.
Phil went to Wallasey Grammar School (representing the county at chess), then Keble College, Oxford for a degree and Ph.D in Chemistry. He went on to work at ICI for many years living around Cheshire in Tarporley, Ashton, Delamere and Kelsall (and frequented many a pub!)
He will be sadly missed.
Funeral service to take place at Vale Royal Crematorium at 12.00 noon on Thursday 5th December.
Family flowers only please but donations in memory of Phil to Chess In Schools And Communities will be gratefully received.
