Just a few adjectives to describe a girl who lived life on the edge before she could even walk properly, who questioned and challenged everything as soon as she could speak, and who proved time and again that nothing could ever stand in her way.
Her magic will live on in our hearts and her beautiful children forever. I am very proud and blessed to have been your Aunty and your friend. 💔

My first memory: meeting the family at their home in Wigsley. I can remember Vee wearing a beautiful, floral maxi dress with vibrant turquoise and pinks. Vee was full of life, sapping the fun out of every moment and clearly a strong young woman!
One evening, Will, Vee, Jarryd and I went to Skegness for the evening just to get to the pleasure beach. We managed to buy wristbands for the last remaining hour of service and literally ran from ride to ride, chasing the adrenaline rush!
I can remember being at her house one weekend, eating Chinese food and dancing to the Bob The Builder YouTube video. Who knew we’d be teaching our kids those moves more than a decade on?!
I fell in love with those sweet little kids, playing with them and watching Vee envelop herself in motherhood. It was beautiful. I think we recognised that maternal quality in each other. When I came to having my children, I can remember her visiting us in hospital and being full of tender kindness. She gave advice on how to help our sniffly baby and encouraged me when I wasn’t sure that I was feeding my baby enough. We have framed poem that she wrote for our firstborn which means a whole lot more now.
There are so many braais, family Christmas gatherings and birthday celebrations intermingled which are full of funny moments. Dressing up, photoshoots, games, knocking over the Christmas tree…
I want to remember Vee as a powerhouse, a fiercely loving woman and someone who would seek the adventure in every moment.
