Having known Gerry (and Pat) for most of the time we have been near neighbours he will be greatly missed. Gerry would frequently stop outside our house in one of his Land Rovers to catch up on the latest news. He also told me to retire as soon as I could to enjoy life. I did.

Gerry was a great friend. We had many happy shooting days together, at Startup, Thorneyford and Ridley Hall, amongst others.

He loved the crack, he was always keen to be out and about, organising clay days, shoots etc.

He loved his family dearly, Pat especially.

As well as his shooting and his dogs, Gerry loved his motorbikes, the occasional malt whiskey and never lost the mischievous twinkle in his eye.

Rest easy friend.
