In Roger's death we have lost a pillar of the community and a true Christian. He was generous to a fault with his time, money and in sharing his family home, garden and barn to support good causes. He was indefatigable in his work for the churches of Tredington and Stoke Orchard and especially the Tredington Village Hall which was completely revamped under his leadership. Whether it was swimming the Channel (or it's equivalent in the Golf Club swimming pool!) or taking on any worthwhile task, Roger was completely committed and utterly dependable. My thoughts and prayers are with Paddy and the family who have lost a loving husband, father and grandfather. Rest in peace, Roger, you more than deserve it. Revd Canon Barbara Messham.x
