Margaret WinifredHOWES20th March 1935 - 31st March 2026
Margaret passed away peacefully in her sleep on the 31st of March. She was a woman of immense character, whose life was defined by her devotion to her family and her tireless service to the community.
She was a devoted wife to Denis and a deeply loving mother to Lesley, Timothy, and Christopher. Margaret welcomed Roger, Elizabeth, and Jill into the family with open arms as a mother-in-law. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren-Rebecca, Richard, Stewart, George, Alex, Ben, Guy, Rosanna, and Jack - and she was the proudest Great-Grannie to Anthony, Initia, Bethany, Ashleigh, Jack, Emily, Nevaeh, Nyla, Noah, Chester, and Rafe.
Beyond her home, Margaret was a pillar of our community. From her dedicated work with the WRVS and her time as a local Councillor, to her many years serving as a Magistrate, she gave her time and energy to better the lives of others. These years of service were capped off in 1989 when she was honoured to serve as the Mayor of Cleethorpes.
Margaret lived a full, active, and meaningful life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Thursday 23rd April at 1.30pm.
