Gerald was a good colleague when he and I worked in the Radio and TV dept at the MEB - first in our workshop in Kings Square Gloucester, on the top floor above the main Shop. It was there that I was an Apprentice, and then at the MEB depot in Barnwood from 1966 to 1996, each of us as ‘field engineers’ We witnessed the beginnings of colour TV, and persuaded many customers to switch from mono to colour TV.
