I was in Mr Jelley’s class at St Christopher in his first year of teaching, I think. He was a great teacher, one of several at that school who inspired me to become a teacher and, for a time the headteacher at St Christopher myself. I have a lot to thank him for. Lois Thorpe (nee Tyler)
