JeanROSTRONof Turfcote Nursing Home, Haslingden, passed away on May 11, aged 94 years.

Jean was a shoe operative at Greenbridge Slipper Factory until 1975. Then she became a pool attendant at Marl Pits Swimming Baths until retirement. Her hobbies and interests included ballroom dancing, spending time with her family and swimming.

Spouse to the late William Rostron, mother to the late Lynn (eldest daughter). Jean leaves behind her daughter Janice, grandchildren Neal, Jodie, Kelly, Chris, great-grandchildren Flynn, Zack, Molly, Ellie. Sons-in-law John and Clive.

A service will he held on Tuesday, May 27 at Burnley Crematorium at 3.15pm conducted by Andrea Robinson.

Jean’s family would like to thank Turfcote Nursing Home especially all the carers who looked after her during her time at the home, their help was very much appreciated.

Sincere condolences to all of Jean’s family who I know will miss her greatly.

Hey up Gran... There's a bit of a do going on today to celebrate your life. Nearly 95... Amazing. I'm going to miss you so much. Thank you for everything you did for us. We'll celebrate in the usual way with a few drinks and two fingers...I'll bring the biscuits and you can make the tea from Me, Him and Them. X x
