I don’t even know where to start. You weren’t my nan by blood, but from the day we met, you felt like family. A few doors away became a second home — popping in every day, bringing treats, doing your shopping, making sure you were warm, comfy, and had something sweet to smile about.
You never asked for much, but you gave so much love. Meeting you changed my life more than I realised at the time. When I introduced you to Ashleigh and then Bailey, you welcomed them just like you welcomed me — with open arms and the kind of care that stays with you forever.
Even when you moved to the hospital and then into the care home, I never stopped thinking of you as mine — my person, my nan, my constant. It’s hard knowing I won’t hear your voice again or see your smile when I walk in with a pack of jammy dodgers and a new soft blanket.
But I’ll carry you with me. Always.
Sleep tight, June. Thank you for everything Love you always ❤️
