Gentleman, friend, family man, generous, happy, all of these and more could be used to describe him but they can all be summed up in a single word, Ray.

I had the privilege of knowing Ray pretty much for his entire time at Ryecroft. I coached him, his children and his grandchildren. He will be sorely missed at the club but mostly by his family. Our thoughts must surely be with Mary at this sad time. It is also important to remember the good times and the happiness that Ray brought into so many lives.

There must be quite a quorum upstairs looking down on us. Lets hope that we can do them proud.

Rest in peace.
