JoyceSHAWJoyce died peacefully at Willow Burn Hospice on Saturday 18th January 2025, having recently celebrated her 80th birthday.
Educated at Consett Grammar School and Nevilles Cross College Durham. A notable folk and classical musician, teacher, and lifelong charitable fundraiser and volunteer. Daughter of the late Leslie and Gwendoline Inglis, and sister to the late Freda and Brian. Loving mother of Zoe, and Granny to Freya and Alexis. Joyce will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The funeral will be held at 2:45pm on Tuesday 18th February 2025 at Mountsett Crematorium, followed by a service at Consett Methodist Church at 3:30pm. Joyce wished her service to be a celebration of her life, and requested colourful attire. Please make donations to Willow Burn Hospice in lieu of flowers.
