SylviaSLATTERYMrs Sylvia Slattery, of Helmshore, passed away peacefully, at home, on Sunday, July 6, aged 83.
A former primary school teacher at St. Peter’s Catholic School in Newchurch, she enjoyed shopping and holidaying in the Mediterranean – especially cruises – and was a member of the ladies fundraising charity, the Soroptimists.
Sylvia was a family lady at heart and loved family gatherings.
The much-loved wife of the late Brian, she leaves her loving daughter Sara, son-in-law Lee and her grandson Oliver, along with many friends, who will all miss her dearly.
Sylvia’s funeral service and committal will take place on Tuesday, July 22 at 1pm at Accrington Crematorium, led by Rev Judith Balkwell.
