Alex was the bestest brother in law a sister could wish for. I'm so glad we got to spend time together last summer. Aroha nui

Alex once said if he saved one biker's life his work would have been worthwhile. That comment shows the sort of person he was, and the World even if it doesn't know it is now a lesser place. It is rare for someone to leave a lasting legacy on everyone they touch.
We will miss him calling in on the way to Scotland. To mis-quote Marx 'Academics mainly just interpret the World, the point however is to change it'.
Alex succeeded in doing both.
Susan and Richard (Donna's Uncle).

Alex, so sad you had to leave so soon when you had so much more to give to those around you. An honour to have shared time with you and known you as a friend. Inspirational to me personally and professionally, always pushing forward, creative and bold thinking. A life saver with your motorcyclist safety work. Great times working with you, out on the road installing the PRIMEs, at awards ceremonies and some great nights in the Kirkstyle too. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
