Doreen MargaretYOUNGDoreen of Allestree, Derby passed away peacefully at the Royal Derby Hospital on 13th June 2025 aged 78 years. Much loved wife of Graham, Mother to Lynne and Paul, Nana to Conor, and a good friend to many.

A service to celebrate Doreen's life will be held on Friday 18th July 2025 at 11.00am at Markeaton Crematorium (Main Chapel) Markeaton Lane, Derby DE22 4NH. Please wear something bright to reflect Doreen's love of flowers and colour.

Family flowers only please. Donations may be given in Doreen's memory to Treetops Hospice online or via the donation box provided on the day. Coop Funeral Care

Thank you on behalf of Graham, Lynne, and Paul to everyone who has reached out to offer their condolences following the passing of Doreen. We have been overwhelmed with kind messages and lovely memories.

Thanks to everyone who was able to join us in person or online for the funeral service, it was a fitting tribute to a greatly loved individual.

The combination of donations both online and following the service now totals over £1,200 in memory of Doreen which we hope will provide vital support for Treetops Hospice.

Doreen was formidable right up to the end. She kept her spirit and fought hard to stay with us. She was a very much loved part of our lives and we will miss her and we continue to honour her by living well, eating well and getting fried bread when it's on the menu.
