Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in Freeman Hospital on 18th September 2026.

Husband of the late Mavis, loving dad to Lucy and Luke, father in law of Ellen. Devoted grandad to Sadie and Isabella. Loving brother, uncle and cousin of all the family.

Please meet for service at West Road Crematorium on Tuesday 6th October at 11.00am.

Family flowers only. A collection will be held in memory.

Rip Herbert such a quiet sole and a nice man never wanting any fuss. Sending love to your children Lucy, Luke & family may your spirit stay with them and keep them safe .

So sorry to see Herbert has passed away. I used to see him in the school yard whenever he came home after working away when Lucy was being collected at the end of the day. Lucywas in the same class as my daughter Rebecca. What a lovely couple him and Mavis were. Reunited now. RIP Herbert.
