For 30 wonderful years, I was lucky enough to have Grandma Doffy. She was also Great-Grandma to Elliott, and to Mabel, whom she sadly didn’t get to meet, but who will always know just how special she was.
Grandma was clever, funny, determined, warm, gentle, and endlessly loving. She had a way of making life feel lighter and brighter.
I will always remember her teaching me “chopsticks” on the piano, the cards we sent back and forth over the years which I treasure, and more recently, the WhatsApp messages and photos that kept us close despite the distance. She never lost her spirit, whether it was jokingly getting her slipper out on Dad, dodging her greens at dinner, or joining in with Wii ski jumping at Christmas.
And, of course, she would so often remind us with a smile, “I am *grandmas age* you know.”
She gave us so much love and so many moments of joy. We will miss her more than words can say.
Love you forever, Grandma Doffy xxx

To my dearest Doffle,

I am so thankful that you came into my life when you did. You meant more to me than you will ever know and I'm so thankful for all the many memories (and photos) that are etched eternally in my heart.

You warm, gentle presence & witty, sharp, humour will be with me forever.

Rest in eternal peace my Doffle.

With lots love from Claire xxx 💜
