William JamesARMSTRONGIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Armstrong, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who left for Glory on 19th November 2024, at the age of 86. Bill was a man whose warmth, kindness, and sense of humour touched everyone he met. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Bill was the cherished husband of Irene (née Machin), with whom he shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and memories that will continue to inspire all who knew them. Bill's devotion to Irene was evident in all aspects of their life together, and their bond was an example of true partnership. Irene will forever treasure their time together and the love they shared. As a father, Bill was a pillar of strength and guidance. He was the proud father of Mark and Grant. His boys were his pride and joy, and he always took great care in providing them with wisdom and encouragement. His legacy as a father will live on in his children, who continue to reflect his values, work ethic, and kindness. Bill was also a proud and loving grandfather to Joshua and Joel. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He will be deeply missed by the boys, his daughter-in-law Tina, and extended family Martin, Hannah and Katie as they carry his memory in their hearts.
