DoreenASTINOn Saturday, March 23, the most wonderful wife and amazing mother and nan, sadly passed away. Doreen died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family from near and far, wrapped in their warmth and love.
Doreen was born in Baxenden and spent 28 years working at Warburton’s as a seamstress. She later worked with elderly people as a care assistant, a role which she undertook with genuine dedication. Doreen loved to dance. For many years, she and Jack were regular boppers at rock and roll evenings and travelled around the country attending weekend rock and roll events. Doreen’s true passion was her family, and she lived her life for them. They are so lucky to have shared their lives with such a loving and devoted wife, mother and Nan. Doreen will always be with her husband Jack, daughter Jacqueline, son-in-law, Nick, grandson Deme and his wife Haley. She will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever and will continue to guide us through each day of our lives.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on April 10 at Accrington Crematorium.
In accordance with Doreen’s wishes, we request family flowers only with donations please, to the British Heart Foundation in her memory.
