Carol JeanBAILEYof Altham, passed away peacefully in hospital with her daughters at her side on April 2, aged 65 years. The loving and loved mum of Kimberley and Samantha, a dear mother-in-law, cherished grandma to Joshua, Ceara, Benjamin, Orla, Phoebe and George, loved sister of Debbie, Kevin, Jackie, Diane and Jeff, a dear sister-in-law, auntie, relative and friend to many. Born in Ellesmere Port, Carol moved to Accrington as a young girl, where she would build a life full of love, laughter, and lasting memories. She worked in accounts throughout her career and was known wherever she went for her dedication, precision, and amazing organisational skills — keeping every office running like clockwork. She thrived on routine and took pride in doing things well. Above all, it was her family that brought Carol the deepest joy. Her daughters were the lights of her life, and becoming a grandma was the happiest chapter of all. She absolutely adored her grandchildren — each one holding a special place in her heart. She delighted in every moment spent with them, whether she was spoiling them with treats or simply making them laugh. For Carol, ‘Grandma time’ meant fun, cuddles, and making memories. Carol shared a special bond with her beloved sister Debbie, and together they made wonderful memories exploring cities across Europe. These getaways were full of culture, laughter, and a good dose of mischief. With her twinkling eyes and infectious smile, Carol could light up any room. She was bubbly, vibrant, and always up for a dance — with some signature moves that no one could quite replicate! Carol was one of those rare souls who brought warmth and cheer wherever she went. Her love will echo in the hearts of all who knew her. Carol’s funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington BB5 6HA on Wednesday, April 16 at 3pm.
