George was a mentor to me since I started working for the parish council. He was always in my corner and advising me when I needed it. He was a very valued member and friend to many within new Waltham, myself included. I will miss Georges phone calls and our chats. May he rest, and tell me from above that I'm still putting too many pretty images in the councils newsletter.
We will remember you George.

A Tribute to George – A Dedicated Parish Councillor for 29 Years

Today, we gather in spirit and gratitude to celebrate the remarkable legacy of George, a man whose unwavering commitment to our community spanned nearly three decades. For 29 years, George stood as a pillar of our parish council, guiding, listening, and working tirelessly to improve the lives of those around him.

His dedication was not just measured by the length of his service, but by the countless projects, initiatives, and quiet moments of kindness he brought to life.

George believed that small actions build strong communities. Whether it was advocating for better facilities, preserving green spaces, or simply being a trusted ear to those in need, he embodied the spirit of public service with humility and grace.

His legacy serves as a reminder that true leadership is not about recognition, but about heart. George leaves behind not only a stronger parish but a community that will forever remember his warmth, wisdom, and steadfast dedication.

Thank you, George, for your years of service, friendship, and love for this parish. You will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all.
