Such sad news. Mr Barker was an amazing teacher and head teacher who will have positively impacted on so many students, as he did me. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Such sad news, Eric was a highly respected and supportive colleague who taught me much about leadership. I remember him with fondness and gratitude and still smile at his sense of humour and his wise words.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr Barker’s passing. I was not privileged to have experienced him as Headteacher but he was my Form teacher and Geography teacher and he was quite simply one of the very best. His teaching was second to none and his skills in wrangling a group of misfits were top class . He was one of the most influential figures in my teenage life. God bless his family who will miss him v much.
