June Barry was a great reader, she read a child in the forest on womans hour, she was fantastic, i was off work sick, i never forgot her, it was winifreds foleys book, i still read it now and again, i would love to buy a tape of June Barry's narration, RIP John Griffin.

Very sad to learn of the death of lovely and very talented actress June Barry. She was a spirited and passionate June Forsyte, in a blessed, magical, wonderful and perfectly-cast 1967 BBC production. I mention this still-beloved TV series because, like countless others, I still re-watch it every year or two on DVD. Years back I watched it on video! June helped to bring to life a remarkable character, as Galsworthy created and described her. Thank you, Ms Barry, for being a '60s star and icon - and inspiration - to girls like me, young teens in 1967, who were then, and still remain, artistic, talented, intelligent and free in ways that previous generations were not permitted to be. So many memories of lovely performances from such a talented actress. Her portrayal of June Forsyte a particular favourite. RIP June

A lovely actress. Remember her as one of the few sympathetic characters in the Forsyte Saga, also in a Francis Durbridge mystery with Gerald Harper. RIP.
