Pete was a Best Friend to us all at the Hive, we always had lots of laughs, and lots of good chats, he loved playing music with us on Wednesday mornings, with Rhys, he loved hearing me playing the Keyboard, and the Accordion, we had so many good times, at our Christmas Fayres, performing our Christmas songs together, for our Audiences.
I will also remember the good times, when we used to go out to the Pub every Sunday Nights, to meet our Best friend Sean, we used to love having a drink together, having lots of laughs, and playing Pool together, also at our Saturday Meals after the Hive, at the Lamb, In Mangotsfield, where we enjoyed our regular meet ups, and had some great times.
Pete also used to come to Fired Up Ceramics, where I work in Yate, he loved coming in every Thursdays, we loved our chats, our laughs, and painting together.
His Funeral went very well, at the Canford Crematorium, it was a very Sad day for all of us, but it was Special that we were all there together, His Rolls Royce Herse looked really Awesome, and it was really special that my mum stayed with me, and she was very helpful to give us a lift there and back, the Reception at the Village Hall afterwards, was a lovely tribute for Pete, the music was great.
it was good to be there with all my friends and volunteers, and mum. And we all enjoyed playing a game of Skittles, the food was delicious, it was such a beautiful sunny day, Pete would be very proud of us all together, it was also good to meet some of his family, his Niece Louisa is a really lovely person, she did very well at doing the speech at his funeral, and it was nice to have a chat with her afterwards, it would be lovely for her to come to the Hive for a visit, and have a look around. He will forever be with us in our hearts, RIP Pete, My Best mate, It's wonderful that you are reunited with Sean, and Jack, and Neil, we all miss you very much, but you are always with us, Till We Meet Again. With love from Will Lake xx
