VictorBAYESof Old Street, Waterfoot, passed away at Blackburn General Hospital on Monday, December 7, aged 81. The loving husband of Shirley for 54 years and much-loved dad to son Paul, he had worked for the majority of his life for Rossendale Transport until he retired in 2004, where he was a keen member of the union. He was a devoted family man and also enjoyed watching horse racing and listening to music. Besides his wife and son, Vic leaves behind his sister Jean, sisters-in-law Freda and Eileen and brothers-in-law Raymond and Brian, along with many nephews and nieces. A funeral service was due to take place at Burnley Crematorium on Thursday, December 17, with Rev. David Burrow officiating, attended by immediate family. Donations can be made in Vic’s memory to the British Heart Foundation via Fred Hamer Funeral Service, James Street, Rawtenstall.
