Ian FrederickBEECHSadly passed away peacefully at home on 6th October aged 89.
Ian will be greatly missed by all his family, including wife of 61 years Liz, and children Stephen, Margaret, Kathryn and David; and many friends and neighbours.
Ian spent a lifetime working as a gifted mechanic. He was a founder member of the Chislehurst Riding Club, Mooring Master at the Hoo Ness and Medway Yacht Clubs, and was known throughout the area as somebody who would turn his hand to modifying and mending whatever was bought to the garage door. He will be fondly remembered for building a 42 foot steel hull sailing boat in the back garden, a local landmark in Knockholt for 16 years.
A Funeral Service celebrating Ian's life will be held at the Bluebell Cemetery in Halstead on Thursday 9th November 2023 at 3.00pm. There is no requirement to wear black. This will be followed by a Wake to be held at The Bell, High Street, Kemsing.
Family flowers only, or donations if desired (in lieu of flowers) to the RNLI.
