Roger BrianBLACKMORELoving husband of Hilary, dear father of Heather, Quentin and Julian, brother of Jane died peacefully on 6th September 2024 aged 82 years. Former leader of Leicester City Council and former Lord Mayor of Leicester.

Roger's funeral service will take place at St Anne's Church, Letchworth Road, Leicester on Friday 11th October at 11.00am, followed by a private family committal.

Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to Leicester Children's Holidays will be kindly accepted at the service or may be made online at leicesterchildrensholidays.co.uk

What sad news. I knew Roger from the sir Charles Napier pub and had many enjoyable conversations with him in there. Such a warm and witty man, such a sad loss to the world
