JuliaBLAIZEPeacefully at rest on 14th August 2025 at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. Julia aged 96 years of Trentham. A much loved mum of Judy, a treasured nan of Andrew, Sarah and the late Denyse, a cherished great grandmother of Shannon, Jack and Tom, also a dear aunt of Gillian.

Julia will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

Funeral service and cremation to be held at Carmountside Crematorium on Thursday 11th September 2025 at 2.00pm. Will all relatives please accept this the only intimation, friends wishing to attend please meet at the crematorium.

Floral tributes welcome, if preferred donations to the Brooke Horse Sanctuary and Hillside Animal Sanctuary Norfolk.

I am the granddaughter of Elizabeth (Betty) Danilkiewicz (née Shufflebotham) who passed away just 4 months after Julie. Julie was Betty's most deeply treasured lifelong friendship. As I recall, they met as teens in Stoke and had a lot of fun together. Betty moved away to Canada to marry her sweetheart at around age 20 but Betty and Julie devotedly kept in touch over many decades, mostly through cards and letters which they kept up into their 90s. They had a few lovely visits over the years, including at least one cruise together, and Betty always had the photographs of Julie displayed proudly in her home. Sending warmth and well wishes from Canada to all those mourning the loss of beautiful Julie.
