CatherineBLAMEYWe are terribly sad to announce the death of dear Catherine, at the far too young age of 58, at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice.

A beloved daughter, partner, mum, sister, sister in law, aunty, cousin and niece, and best friend and confidante to so many

Her funeral will take place on Friday 30th May at 1pm in the large chapel at Penmount Crematorium, Truro, followed by a celebration of her life at the Crown Inn, St Ewe, for those who knew and loved her. We will be fund raising for Pancreatic Cancer UK, (togetherinmemory.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/in-memory/Catherine-Blamey) to seek new treatments, and would like to request no flowers nor cards. Please wear whatever you associate with Catherine, knowing her love of all things bright and floral

Catherine was my hairdresser in Gorran Haven for many years. She also took special care of my husband, who had dementia, when he had his hair cut. We shared a love of cruising and travel and so there was always something to talk about. Catherine was always fun and loved life. She cared deeply for her community and was supportive of local charities generously donating raffle vouchers for free hair cuts. My main memory of her is when she cut my long hair short so the hair could be donated to a charity making wigs for children with cancer. She refused to take any payment for her time so I was able to include that money with my donation and hair to the charity. I was heartbroken to hear she had contracted pancreatic cancer so young.

Catherine will remain, forever, honoured and loved.
