Nige, when we were teenagers you wanted to work as stage and road crew and later when you met Jane you told me you were going to marry her. You are the only person I know who has successfully fulfilled their dreams; and in those days I was privileged to be your best friend, later, your best man. I’m so very proud of you, and your leaving for the great gig in the sky has truly broken my heart. The message you wrote in every birthday and Christmas card you sent to me, I now send to you. Keep on rocking.

I worked with Tractor for many years, even shared a hotel room with him sometimes. He was one of the good guys in every way and will be sorely missed. Nobody made a better Festival drum loom!
