DavidBOOTHOf Waingale Close, Rawtenstall passed away at home on February 7, aged 87. He started as an apprentice joiner with Hamers at Bury and then served in the forces for two years. David did his national service in parachute service, serving as a medic and then went back to joinery, working for Rentakil and Lownsdale and Thompson. He then moved to Rossendale and started his own business David Booth Joiners until his retirement. David was a keen golfer and enjoyed socialising, gardening and going to the gym. He was a member of Darley Lodge where he was a post master and a member of St Kentigern Lodge- freemasons Edinburgh. David leaves behind his wife Iris, daughters Kerry and Joanne, sons-in-law Graham and Paul, grandsons James and Jordan, granddaughter Beth, two great-granddaughters Phoebe and Poppy and life long friends Jim and Shirley. The funeral will be held on Monday, February 24 at Burnley Crematorium at 10.45am. Family flowers only and donations to Support Our Paras.
