ShirleyBOSTOCKPeacefully at Kirkwood Hospice on 12th March 2025, aged 89 years.

Beloved wife of the late Dennis, much loved mum of Ruth and Helen, treasured mother-in-law of Adam and the late Boo, dear sister-in-law of Betty, dearest aunt of Pauline, Peter and Ian and loving godmother of Elaine. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Shirley's life will take place at Fartown Methodist Church on Tuesday 1st April at 11am, will be followed by a reception. Dress as you wish.

Donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully received for Kirkwood Hospice. A box will be available at the church.

Auntie Shirley never missed an event in my life. Always giving us her attention, showing interest. I recall as a child wondering how she was related. I knew her more than most relatives. My mum would say she is family. Which was all the explanation I needed :)

Im pleased she was able to attend our wedding and meet my family. Theres a lot I can learn from her. Giving time and being present costs little but means so much.

Auntie Shirley was an amazing lady, her presence will be deeply missed. We will always remember how joyful she was at our wedding, celebrating with so much love and happiness. The way she smiled, shared stories, and blessed us on our special day was truly heartwarming. We hope all the beautiful memories bring comfort during this difficult time. May her soul rest in peace.

Auntie Shirley was a wonderful godmother to me; loving, caring and always empathetic. She was also my “mum” at my 2 boys’ weddings, even when she wasn’t feeling her best. Love you Auntie Shirley, always. ❤️
