On 10th August 2026, John passed away peacefully at St Cuthbert's Hospice following a short illness, aged 69 years.
Dearly loved husband of the late Diane, cherished and much-loved dad of Alexandria, beloved partner of Jen, and a much-loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
John was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend John's funeral service at Sunderland Crematorium on Monday 7th September at 1.30pm, and from 3pm at the North Biddick Social Club to celebrate his life and say a loving farewell. In honour of John's lifelong love of Sunderland AFC, and in keeping with his wishes, those attending are warmly encouraged to wear a touch of red and/or white.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in John's memory, if desired, may be made to St Cuthbert's Hospice, in gratitude for their care and kindness. A donation box will be available at the crematorium.
