GordonBRIGGSMr Gordon Briggs, of Musbury Road, Helmshore died on Sunday, March 29, at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 90. Father to daughters Elaine and Denise, he was grandfather to Alicia, John, and Carl, and great-grandfather to Liberty, Louis, Paris, Erin, Emily and Freya. He leaves sisters Irene, Vera and brother Roland, and his partner of 35 years Sheila. Gordon was a Property Investor all his working life. He was a classic car enthusiast and restorer. Gordon also held a pilot's licence and he was a member of Haslingden Conservative Party. The funeral took place on Wednesday, April 8 with a private graveside service at Haslingden Cemetery officiated by Fr. David Stephenson.
