Ms. Broadbent taught me A level Biology the first year she was a what was then called Bath Diocesan Girl’s School. She was vivacious and more full of fun than the three students that were the first to take A levels as the school transitioned away from Eleven-plus exam divisions. We didn’t fully appreciate her sparkle - being shy and oh-so-sophisticated 6th formers.
She made her subject as interesting as possible, obviously wanting to pass on the awe in which she held the study of life and the actuality of living.
She spoke of her children with great love and pride.
Her husband, Rev. Broadbent, was the minister at my church. They must have made a wonderful couple.
Many years later when the Broadbent retired to Bath, we exchanged a few letters and Christmas cards, and sadly lost touch again.
A search found this obituary.
To those who knew and loved them, I am sorry for your loss.

Dear Theresa was a much revered colleague in the 1980s at St Mark's. In many respects she was ahead of her time.
My most sincere condolences to her family.
