Helen, I just want to start by saying thank you for bringing your amazing son into my life. Adam knows how to treat and respect a woman, and he has the biggest heart. He is an absolute credit to you.

I’ll never forget how competitive you two were with each other, whether you were playing darts or charades, or arguing over who was right. Neither of you would give in until it was proven!

I’ll miss the special boxes you always put together for us. From the moment we moved into our new place, there was a parcel waiting for us. Just the other week, you messaged me to ask what colour box I wanted. We always looked forward to it and loved seeing what goodies you’d put inside. 😔💔

I still tell Adam that you make the best cheese on toast. No one else can make it like you not even close.

I promise I’ll always look after your one and only blue-eyed boy, your Button, your girls, and our Shire family. 🫂

We love and miss you always, Helen. xxxxxxxx

This is, without a doubt, the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. I’m writing it because, in your final hours, I made you a promise and I intend to keep it.
I will always look out for the girls. I’ll always check in on Auntie Wyn And please tell Malcolm that I’ll always protect Erin. She won’t be left to face any of this alone.
I don’t want this to be goodbye. I want it to be thank you. Thank you for the good times and for helping me through the hard ones. Most of all, thank you for being my mum.
I love you more than anything, Mum. Your blue eyed boy MORE xxxxxxx
