Dear Jimmy, we met for the first time in Swansea after an extraordinary series of coincidences. We went with Jo to visit the grave of George Arthur Yates, Lulu's Wireless Operator. In September 2023 we met again at Woodhouse Farm and together we witnessed the Avro Lancaster Fly Past over Ipsden in Memory of George It was an emotional day, and the heart felt hug from your incredible daughter Jo will always be remembered. I hope your grand children Jack, Lily and our son Daniel will never forget that day. It was an honour to meet you & your family. To learn that your family had to be rescued from an Air Raid Shelter in 1943 was a surprise. You guided me via our many Lulu WhatsApp exchanges. Now that you are alongside our heroes please say hello to the boys. All our Welsh Spoon Love from Dave, Alison, Thomas (PontyclEEn), Daniel & the Lulu Families united in Love after 80 years.

If you could look up photographs in the dictionary a picture of Jimmy would be right there beside the word 'gentleman'. A wonderful honest, thoughtful, caring man who will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to call him their friend.
Jimmy.....will miss our chats, our laughs, and the life stories you had to tell. Rest in peace dear friend wrapped in the arms of your Jackie.
Condolences and thoughts sent to your whole family.
Forever remembered, and forever in our hearts......

Jimmy was the most decent and caring person you could wish to meet
If there was anybody you could really trust it was him
he would give advice and tell it to you straight as it should
Never heard him moan, groan, swear or raise a voice in anger.
Always smiling and lived life to the full
Boxing was his pride & joy making him one of the most popular people to grace the sport
He did have passion for beautiful sixties music and many a time i did offer to select songs on the jukebox on his behalf but he was wise
BUT FAMILY CAME FIRST as it should and
to witness the love between father and daughter when he called to see Jo at the shop, was something special
A true gentleman with a massive heart who i had the privilege to meet and be friends

I knew Jimmy for many years as colleagues in Welsh Ambulance Service Health Courier Service.
He was a proper 'gent' and would go above and beyond to provide help and advice.
He will be truly missed.
