It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Lind Burey, affectionately known to so many as Betty, on 30th April 2026, aged 82.
Betty was a much-loved lady whose warmth, kindness, humour, and generosity touched the lives of countless people throughout the years. Fondly remembered by many as "Aunty Betty", she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Her impact on family, friends, neighbours, and all who knew her will never be forgotten.
Betty leaves behind a loving family and many dear friends who will cherish her memory always. She is now reunited with her beloved Dennis and Charlie.
A funeral service to celebrate Betty's life will take place at 2.00pm on Friday 22nd May 2026 at St Mary Magdalene Church, West Street, Yarm, TS15 9BU.
Family and friends are warmly invited to join the wake from 4.30pm at LunaBlu, 16 High Street, Yarm, TS15 9AE.
Betty will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
