I worked for George whilst still at school, as errand boy, before school and weekends delivering meat around the area working from George's shop in Chelmsford Street. After leaving school I became George's apprentice and then as manager of the Chelmsford St shop when he bought the Birchwood shop. George certainly trained me well because I bought a butcher's shop in the outskirts of Sydney, Australia when we emigrated.
Fondest memories,
Malcolm Campbell.

Uncle George, always a joy to be in your company, always a joke to share and always laughter around whenever you were present. Very fond memories from my childhood holidays and ever since. RIP Uncle.
