A great shipmate and friend, often used to give Gary a lift to and from Rosyth, HMS York. Gary used to let me borrow his Newcastle top whilst in the Falkland's, the next time we'd meet was some years later in the Hotspur just before a match. Like the rest of us still Newcastle daft but Gary was always well thought of and will certainly be a miss.
