AdrianoCANDELORIBeloved husband of Shirley (RIP), dearly loved father of Dominic, loving grandfather to Enya Carys. Well-reputed Artist-Sculptor-Tutor, wonderful and gentle friend to many, also not forgetting his time as an Italian teacher!

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing away of Adriano last Friday 22nd November, during the early hours of the morning, in Terni, Italy. As many know, Adriano lost his wife just over three years ago and for these last years he was looked after by his son Dominic, returned from his life overseas, to care for his father in Llanelli. in Summer 2023, following his father's wishes, Dominic took Adriano back to his home and birth city of Terni, in the province of Umbria: "The Green Heart of Italy - La Cuore Verde d'Italia", where he thoroughly enjoyed his last 18 months, being surrounded by a large and close family who were with him all the time! Adriano's health improved considerably in the dry ambient heat of the Italian weather and he continued to passionately love his food and continue with his creative artistic talents, this time in making jewellery.

After a very short downturn over only a few days, Adriano (91) passed on peacefully just after midnight, accompanied, and held, by Dominic.

Adriano's Funerary Mass was held on Saturday 22nd November. Adriano was cremated. They do things very fast in Italy, everything within 24 hours!

Memorial Service to be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Llanelli Catholic Church, on Monday 3rd February at 4.00 p.m. Followed by a Celebratory wake at The Diplomat Hotel, Felinfoel.

I hadn’t known you for long but you were always welcoming when I visited your homes. I especially enjoyed watching two men ‘debating’ the best way to cook certain dishes, (mainly because it meant I ate well!). Rest in peace Adriano, and thank you for my necklace, I shall treasure it always. Kathleen x

Adriano was an absolute gentleman and my very dear neighbour for seventeen years before he moved back to Italy. I will always cherish the conversations we had over the garden fence and I will always remember you fondly.
